What is Consecration?

Hebrew 7:28 - For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

  • Consecrate is to devote and dedicate your life to God for a sacred or high purpose.

  • It is a concentrated effort to set the captives free (those bound by satan).

  • To be anointed.

Hebrew 10:19-23 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
